11th Month Warranty Inspection

Most builders offer a one-year warranty on a new home. We’ll come out during the 11th month and perform a full home inspection before the building warranty expires. With this report, you can take the necessary steps to hold your builder to their warranties while they’re still in force.
I also recommend having your home tested for radon and getting your sewer line inspected while I'm there. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. today. About 50% of homes in Colorado have radon levels higher than the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies recommended action level. This is in old homes and also brand new. I have also seen problems with sewer lines in new construction. Contractors get rushed during construction, leading to expensive mistakes being made that should be corrected before your warranty expires.
